Yum

Jack and I both love the Starbucks mini scones and seem to have a habit of getting them at least once a week. Today Julia got to taste it for the first time too. Yum!

Moms of Boys

I realized the other day how much Jack has changed my perspective of the world, I now see many things through the eyes of a curious little boy. I was driving in my car alone (quite a rare event these days) and I saw a big digger coming down the street. I got really excited and started to say ohh digger straight ahead. The I realized I was alone....yet I was still excited to see that digger.
You know you are a mom of a boy when....
- you look through the ads in the morning newspaper to try and find some showing lawnmowers
- you cannot remember your little guy ever walking only running
- on a stroller walk you hope and pray for sightings of mailtrucks, fire engines, moving trucks, lawnmowers, the list goes on
- when driving past construction sites you slow way down to maximize the entertainment for the backseat audience
- you stay in shape by racing after your little guy at the park, in the grocery store, down the street, around the house....
- instead of saying peek-a-boo when you hide under a blanket you say 'roooaaarrrr' in a loud scary voice
- your main goal is to tire your little guy out with physical exercise in hopes to calm the afternoon wiggles (you know that time of day just before dinner where little boys engines seem to be going out of control)

But the best part of being a mom of a boy is you know you are guaranteed a big double arm goodnight hug!!!

Miss Julia

Julia turned 8 months this week. She would only sit for her 8 month picture with a brush. She is turning into more of a girl every month and now enjoys crawling, standing and is babling more and more each day. We are having so much fun! Here is her picture and Jack as 8 months too.

Popsicles at School

With the nice weather we had a special treat at school and enjoyed popsicles outside for snack time.

Jack really enjoyed his!

The whole class sitting for snack time.

Jessie

Jessie has been our Curran family dog since I was in high school and is truly one of the family. She is now 16 and incredibly still alive. My mom has taken excellent care of her and still walks her daily. Jessie is a dog icon and has been with our family through all the ups and downs. She sleeps most of her days now, except with Jack comes to visit. As soon as Jack walks in the door Jessie stands up to greet him. Jack is in LOVE with Jessie. Every time we go to Grandma and Papa's house he says 'and Jessie too'. Jack loves to pet her and feed Jessie her cookies. Jessie will not be around much longer and I have no idea how I am possibly going to tell Jack when her time comes. While she is still with us we got some pics of Jessie with her grandchildren.

Greenlake Tuesdays

Tuesday mornings we run Greenlake with our friend Courtney and her three kids. Courtney and I get some exercise and get a chance to catch up while the kids enjoy a ride. After we hit up Starbucks and the kids get a snack. I look forward to this every week!

All five kids enjoying snack time at Starbucks!

Courtney's adorable three!
